About the Package

This is a perfect way to get the best that the Tanzanian Northern Circuit has to offer. Lemosho Route is situated along the western slopes of Kilimanjaro, and is one of the most scenic routes. It is well placed for climbers to enjoy a short stay at the Ndarakwai Ranch private conservancy and to those who want to have a slowly trek to the rooftop of Africa (Mt. Kilimanjaro).A short fly-in safari itinerary compliments this climb with a luxury tour of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Reserves and some of the best of the Tanzanian luxury lodges and camps.

Day 1

Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met by our representative for a transfer to Ndarakwai Ranch (private ranch) situated in the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and where you are booked on HB

Day 2

Ndarakwai Ranch (Full Day)

This is a preparation day for the climb, to examine kit and equipment and meet the guide staff and support crew. Alternative activities include day| night game drives, walking safaris, cultural exchange and general relaxation. FB

Day 3

Londorossi Gate - Mti Mkubwa (2,650 m|8,692 ft)

After a 1 1/2 hour drive from Moshi check in is at the Londorossi Gate. Day 1 is fairly easy with a 3/4 hour climb to Miti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 4

Mti Mkubwa (2,650 m|8,692 ft) - Shira One Camp (3,609 m|11,841 ft.)

A few hours walk will see the end of the forest and the beginning of a climb through heather forest to the edge of the Shira Caldera. Destination is the scenic Shira One Camp

Day 5

Shira One Camp (3,609 m|11,841 ft.) - Shira Two Camp (3,849 m|12,628 ft.)

Today is spent on a gentle hike across the Shira Plateau with possible side trips to Shira Cathedral. Camp is at the first high camp of Shira Two.

NOTE: From Shira Two Camp the trail links with Machame Route.

Day 6

Shira Two Camp (3,849 m|12,628 ft.) -Barranco Hut (3,948 m|12,956 ft.)

The real work of climbing Kilimanjaro begins here. Today the main feature is a slow climb to Lava Camp followed by a descent to the beautiful Barranco Camp. This is the Climb-High-Sleep-Low principal of altitude adjustment.

Day 7

Barranco Hut (3,900 m|12,800 ft) - Karanga Valley (3,963 m|13,000 ft)

Hike time: 3.5 hrs

After a climb of the Great Barranco Wall we continue around the southern circuit train until we reach another scenic location of Karanga Camp.

Day 8

Londorossi Gate - Mti Mkubwa (2,650 m|8,692 ft)

The trail from Karanga to Barafu reaches the bleak high desert of Kilimanjaro. Barafu Camp is a basic camp geared towards the business of reaching the summit.

Day 9

Day 11

Arusha| Serengeti National park

After breakfast we will drive to Arusha airport for a flight connection to Serengeti. After a 45-minute flight we arrived at Seronera Airport in the Serengeti National Park, before collection and transfer to Mbuzi Mawe tented camp in northern Serengeti. Depending on what wildlife we see along the way, the journey could take the rest of the day.

Day 12

Serengeti National park (Full Day)

 We leave with a packed lunch for a day spent exploring the national park, with another night spent at Mbuze Mawe.

Day 13

Serengeti| Ngorongoro Conservancy

Today we head south towards Ngorongoro, leaving behind the woodland savannah of the north of the park for the signature plains of the south. By afternoon we will be in the Crater Highlands, and by early evening at the lovely Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Here you will stumble on arguably the most beautiful view in the world.

Day 14

Ngorongoro Crater| Kilimanjaro & Departure

After a morning spent on the floor of the crater we will start to make our way by road to Kilimanjaro international airport for your departure flight home | further holiday destination.
